
Ultrasound Services
Ultrasound is a noninvasive safe and effective way to capture images of inside the body using sound waves. There are no risk factors for most ultrasound exams and they are safe for patients with pacemakers and other metals inside the body.

An abdominal ultrasound is used to evaluate abdominal organs. This includes the pancreas, liver, kidneys, gallbladder, bile ducts, spleen and abdominal aorta.

A scrotal ultrasound evaluates the anatomy of the testicles, epididymis, and vascularity.

A breast ultrasound is used to evaluate a breast lump or area of breast pain. Breast ultrasounds are a supplement to mammography and does not replace a screening or diagnostic mammogram.

Pelvic ultrasounds give detailed information of the pelvic organs to include the uterus and ovaries. An IUD placement can also be evaluated.

Venous ultrasounds looks at blood flow within the upper and lower extremities to evaluate for thrombus.

A renal ultrasound evaluates both kidneys and a pre and post-void bladder.

Carotid ultrasound is used to evaluate for the presence of plaque in the carotid arteries.

A thyroid ultrasound evaluates the thyroid organ and/or surrounding lymph nodes and palpable lumps within the neck.
